I'll also add that I've been having a lot of little hiccups at the network level with Spectrum. I have not tried a peed test directly from the router not sure how to do that. It is a combined router/modem from Spectrum. There was no change in equipment we simply unhooked the cable box and returned it to Spectrum.ĭownload speed is up around 100 but varies and some times "freezes" when doing a speed test. If connected through a router, change bands. Make sure all connections coming in to the cable modem are tight. I would move the router to a different cable outlet. It seems shady unless you are paying for a lower tier internet speed. I would call spectrum and ask if they are throttling. What is your download speed you purchased? 100? 200?ĭid you change cable modem or router? Have you tried speed tests hooked directly to the router? You still need a good internet connection.ĭid you change any equipment when you got rid of cable? Something seems fishy. Makes it seem like you are connecting from somewhere else.
